Family Support

Sonoma State University offers programs to support students such as Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). Support for families can be sought out from the organizations below.

• Sonoma County First Five  There are resources for parents in our community including: Parent Resource Guide, Kits for New Parents, Positive Parenting Program, Read, Play & Talk.
• California Parent Institute  Child Parent Institute, formerly California Parenting Institute, is a parent education and children’s mental health agency, serving families throughout Sonoma County.
• Early Learners Institute

Remember that the director and faculty at the Children's School are usually always available to support your family with resources, advise and an open ear. Email them or make an appointment to talk about issues related to parenting, education, and resources.
